Morabo Mining & Consulting CC is a newly incepted company and will work to maintain financial stability during its first year of operation due to the extensive industry experience of our management team.

Management background

Mr. Terry Bogopane, the Managing Director is an established entrepreneur and has an extensive knowledge and experience in brand communications. He completed a skills programme in Small Scale Mining with particular focus on Surface Mining and Safety, Health and Environment which is accredited by MQA. Mr. Bogopane is a youth entrepreneurship advisor on the Youth Advisory Board of Brand Africa and chairs the African Youth Entrepreneurship Network. He holds a certificate of the Completion of the Leadership Academy from Sierra Nevada University’s Groom Centre for Entrepreneurial Leadership. He also attained Business and Entrepreneurship Fellowship, Executive Education from University of Nevada (RENO).

Mr. Phillip Sebetlele, the Operations Director, has been working in the mining industry for the past 21 years has the Certificate in Mine Environmental Control currently been offered by the University of the Witwatersrand which was previously presented by the Chamber of Mines of South Africa. Amongst other certificates he holds presented by the Chamber of Mines is the Blasting Certificate and Mine Environmental Control Certificate (MEC). Mr. Sebetlele began his mining career as an Electrical Monorail Operator at Impala Platinum in the late 90’s and proceeded to climb through the ranks as the Ventilation Officer in various mines in the platinum belt until he held a position of the Superintendent Environmental Engineer at Sibanye Platinum Division, where also was a MHSA section 12.1 and 9.4 appointee. He holds a Diploma in Information from Standford College.

Mr. Walter Modise, the Operations Manager has 16 years experience in mining environment of with six is in managerial position and seven in supervisory positions. He currently holds the Mine Overseer Certificate of Competency and is studying towards the Mine Manager Certificate. He is also pursuing MBA studies on part time basis.
